David Stacey

America First CU

Dave Stacey is the Vice President of Treasury Services for America First Credit Union in Riverdale, Utah. He began his Credit Union career at America First in 1983. He worked as a courier for the first year and then transferred into the Treasury Department where he has been for the past 35 years.

Dave grew up the second of nine children in a small farming community in Northern Utah. His first credit union transaction came when he was 12 years old, to deposit his pay check from working on a neighbor’s dairy farm.

Dave graduated from Weber State University in Ogden Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information. Before college, Dave worked in the construction industry for some time and then spent two years serving as a missionary in Ecuador for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He recently attended Western CUNA Management School and graduated with the Kappa Class of 2012. Dave is the inaugural recipient of the Rick Craig Prize for Excellence in the School Project.

Dave and his wife Andrea have been married for nearly 27 years and have two sons and four daughters. Members of Dave’s family are the most important things in his life, and one of his favorite things to do in the world is to sit on the couch with his little princesses and watch Disney movies. He enjoys camping, hunting, and working on his little family farm. He is much more comfortable in a barn than in a board room. He also enjoys working in his wood shop and serving in his church.
