An Additional Recognition of
Your WCMS Degree
The New Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE-WCMS) Designation
Beginning with the class of 2025, Western Credit Union Management School graduates also receive the Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE-WCMS) designation. This designation complements the industry-leading MBA and undergraduate transfer credits unlocked with a WCMS diploma.
The designation honors the depth and quality of education WCMS has delivered for more than 60 years. It affirms what our students already accomplish through their intensive coursework, applied learning and leadership growth.
Building on a legacy of academic excellence and decades of recognition by the American Council on Education, we are pleased to extend the CCUE-WCMS designation to all alumni who have earned a WCMS diploma since 2007. See below for more information.

We understand your question! WCMS’s intensive transformative curriculum did not magically change in 2007.
Prior to that year, America’s Credit Unions had an alternative process to earn the CCUE designation. They only began offering the designation to graduates of the Madison Credit Union Management School in 2007. Accordingly, 2007 marks the earliest point at which WCMS graduates are eligible for the CCUE-WCMS designation.
Graduates who receive the CCUE-WCMS designation will be provided with an official confirmation from WCMS, which can be used for professional documentation or recognition. Alumni who opt into receiving the CCUE-WCMS designation will also receive official confirmation. You are able to add the CCUE-WCMS to your email signature, should you wish to do so. Your designation will be reflected on your name badge at America’s Credit Union’s Governmental Affairs Conference.
Recertification is not required to maintain your CCUE-WCMS designation.
