John Cassidy has served as Velera’s Vice President, Industry Engagement since 2026. In this role, he leads the development and execution of strategic partnerships that strengthen Velera’s position within the credit union movement. He works closely with industry leaders, clients, and system partners to promote the company’s competitive portfolio of solutions and deepen key relationships across the system. He is an active contributor to industry dialogue and regularly represents Velera at conferences, forums, and partner engagements.
Prior to joining Velera, John served as Director of Credit Union System Relations at TruStage, where he also held a leadership role as Vice President of the Foundation Board of Directors in Madison, Wisconsin. Earlier in his career, he held marketing and business development roles at Latitude 32 Credit Union in Charleston, South Carolina, and the Credit Union Association of New York in Albany, New York.
John is a graduate of the Spring 2014 Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) class and has since mentored and facilitated multiple CUDE sessions. He currently serves on the board of directors for Porchlight, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing homelessness in Dane County, Wisconsin.
