Matt is the President/CEO of Rogue Credit Union, based in Southern Oregon. He began his career at Rogue in January 2004 initially overseeing information technology. Over the years, Matt advanced through several key positions including, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. In April 2022, he became the fifth President/CEO of Rogue Credit Union. Prior to joining Rogue, Matt gained experience in the industry at Clark County Credit Union in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
Deeply committed to his community, Matt has served in many impactful roles, such as on the Central Point City Council, the Jackson County Budget Committee, the Chamber of Medford/Jackson County Board, the Medford School District’s Facilities Optimization Committee, Rogue Community College (RCC) Budget Committee, and the Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development Incorporated (SOREDI) board. Matt is also very involved with the credit union movement, serving on various state and national level committees, including the GoWest Governmental Affairs Committee, Credit Union National Association Regulatory Affairs Committee, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC), Board of Director for the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) Des Moines representing Oregon, and the faculty of Western Credit Union Management School at Pomona College. Additionally, Matt is engaged in youth education through his church and with the Boy Scouts of America; he is also an Eagle Scout.
Throughout his career, Matt has received several notable accolades, including the prestigious Chalie Clarck Award, the Credit Union Association of Oregon (CUAO) Young Professional of the Year award, the Heidemann Scholar Award for his efforts in continuing education, and being named a Credit Union Rock Star by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA).
